Working with Blocks for Email Editor

/ Working with Blocks for Email Editor

The email editor is based on the notion of a block.

Most emails will have at a minimum of 3 blocks; a header, a text block and a footer block. This knowledge base article will discuss how to work with them.  Blocks are just like objects in Microsoft PowerPoint, pick the block you like and drag it into your email template.

Shown below you see how to source text and image blocks.

All blocks will have content and an associated style and settings that would be coded in HTML.

Set your block style and your content with the pencil.

PLEASE NOTE GRAMMAR CHECKERS SUCH AS GINGER OR GRAMMERLY CAN AFFECT THE FUNCTIONALITY OF OUR EDITOR.

We recommend you save your work frequently.

Lets discuss how to work with image blocks.  By clicking browse, you will go to your image repository which is called EAS Drive.

EmailsAndSurveys recommends you review the help section EAS Drive if you want to learn more about where you images are stored.

Inside of your image repository you will see your images and their size in pixels width by height where you can upload them from your computer.  If you have an html template you already use you can cut and paste your email template into a text block and we will pull down all the images from that source and save them into your repository!  It is a very cool feature and an easy way to bulk upload all your images.

You need to be aware of your image sizes.  We display the size of an image width by height.  In a web browser, images compress well but do not expand well, they will appear distorted if they are too small.   In the case below we have the same image of different sizes will will select the image of 1005 by 332. This image has to fit in a space of 590 by 195 so should it should work fine.
